khaosworksI can't, and won't promise that I'll never hurt you. Nobody can guarantee that. There will be times when I will be mean, callous, careless and perhaps (not often I hope) downright cruel. For these things, I pray for your patience, understanding and forgiveness, a kick in the head where necessary, and apologize in advance.
However, what I can promise you is that I will never do any of these things intentionally, and I can promise you that I'll love you the best that I can, for as long as I can.

Date: 2002-11-15 03:56 am (UTC)And a lot of relationships would run a little smoother if both sides kept the main assumption that the other one doesn't want/mean to hurt them instead of succumbing to other assumptions as often as it happens... maybe it's easier said than done, but I find it worth reminding myself of and striving for as best I can.
