Someone else found an obituary that said his partner of 30 or so years died a couple of years ago. His partner had a typically male name. I don't know why I was surprised.
I saw that episode of Picket Fences mentioned in the article. He fought for forced bussing with the kind of ignorant zeal that would make any Southern Baptist proud.
