I've always wanted to love comic books. As it stands, I find it difficult to read comics about my favourite characters because I always feel like I'm missing the most important part of the story. I have, however, found several independent comics that I could sink my teeth into:

Serenity by Joss Whedon

The ever-increasing saga of Fillerbunny by Jhonen Vasquez.

I was even rather fond of Marvel's Mangaverse before it got obliterated.
