10 Lines #7

I confess that I usually fudge these things - they're not random, they are chosen so that they are not too hard to guess. So this time, let's do the random thing, and see if that helps or hinders at all.

Ten first lines from my iTunes playlist right now. Guess the songs and bonus points for the artist/version. No Googling.

1. "Bob Roebuck is my sweetheart's name, he's off to the wars and gone..."

2. "When she was three, her Barbies always did it on the first date..."

3. "Seaside, whenever you stroll along with me..."

4. "Which side are you on? It don't really matter, if you're not siding with me..."

5. "Down in the workshop, all the elves were making toys..."

6. "In the cool of the evening when everything is getting kind of groovy..."

7. "Something isn't right - I don't know how I know..."

8. "You saw me standing by the wall, corner of a main street..."

9. "Is this the little girl I carried?"

10. "If your love were taken from me, every color would be black and white..."

#9 was incredibly easy for me, and now it won't leave my brain! "Sunrise, Sunset" from Fiddler on the Roof. I think it is the only one I know on your list, though.

#3 is Good Old Fashioned Loverboy by Queen. One of my all-time favourite semi-obscure songs ;-)

I feel I should know #6, but it's eluding me ...

#3 is Seaside Rendezvous by Queen (from A Night at the Opera)

#9 is Sunrise, Sunset from the soundtrack to Fiddler on the Roof (whether the Broadway version, the movie version, or a cover, I couldn't say :-)

#9 is Sunrise, Sunset from Fiddler on the Roof and thank you for making me feel 1/10th less musically ignorant than I usually do with playlist memes. I don't think I've ever got even one before! (Yay!)
