Cool exec with a heart of steel

Very nice indeed, if this is the actual thing rather than concept art. Iron Man was always one of my favourite Marvel superheroes until recent events completely raped his character (yes, Tony had his dickish side, but never to the Civil War extent). Think they can redeem Tony's Irondickery before the movie premiere?

Nah, didn't think so either.

If you listen to the Marvel editors, he doesn't need to be redeemed because he was right all along, and all the assholery was just him Doing What Needed To Be Done, unlike those wimps who worried about civil rights and freedoms.

You see, this is why I'm buying World War Hulk, the first mainstream Marvel comic I'm actually buying as a monthly (as opposed to a trade) for years. Because I want to see Bruce kick the shit out of everyone.

My cynical expectation is that we will get four issues of the Hulk kicking the shit out of everyone, and then in the fifth it will suddenly be revealed that it was actually a Warbound that sabotaged the ship and that Reed/Tony/etc are all innocent and see, they were totally justified in exiling the Hulk! Either that or a bunch of Initiative kids will get slaughtered in the fight causing the Bruce side to waver from the program of revenge and see what a wonderful idea the Initiative was, la di dah.

Bitter, yes, but after CW #7 and Frontline #11 there is no level I don't think the marvel editors will sink to.
