The Quinn Martin-produced series The Invaders, which ran on ABC in 1967 and '68, starred Roy Thinnes as "David Vincent" in an hour-long full-color science fiction drama that lasted 43 episodes over the course of two seasons. Fans have been highly vocal in wanting to see the series released on DVD in North America, and perhaps none more so than "JeffT.", a member of the Home Theater Forum discussion website.

Today Jeff, and other Invaders fans will get their wish: Paramount has announced this morning that they are letting
The Invaders - Season 1 land on DVD this coming May 6th! All 17 episodes from the first mid-season run come in a 14.5-hour set. Other details, such as box art, number of discs, pricing, and extras (if any) are not available yet. But stay tuned and we'll keep you updated! For now, here's the studio description:
David Vincent (Roy Thinnes) knows that The Invaders, alien beings from a dying planet, have arrived to take over the Earth! To make matters worse, the aliens know who he is, and most of the time where he is. Somehow he must convince a disbelieving world that the nightmare has already begun.

No word on any extras, but Amazon.com has the set going for $27.69.
