Sliding back into reality

It's been a long break, I know. It's been mostly occupied with watching Farscape, and now I'm pretty much caught up to the middle of Season Three. 58 episodes done in a little over two weeks is a lot of information to take in.

Maybe that's why I'm feeling a certain sense of ennui at the moment. One of those, don't wanna do anything, don't care about anything moods. I watched Minority Report, which is a good film if you ignore one or two gaping plot holes, and I've been doing trials with stupid counsels (defence and prosecution) which I have been restraining from knocking their heads together like the Three Stooges. Aside from that, life has been pottering on without much to shout about. Boring sometimes is good, but this boring seems like stagnation. Even Neverwinter Nights hasn't excited the mood that much - and the toolset for building modules seems ungodly obtuse.

Maybe I'll take advantage of the mood and make this a disk maintenance and software update weekend for my computers.

I haven't cracked open the toolset for NWN yet. Its probably not my cup of tea so I will let those who are better at doing such things take their shots.

In order to put some "magic" into the game, you need to do some scripting. I think. When I first got the game, the default WinXP OpenGL driver was making the game run at 1/3 frame per second. Thats why I thought it stunk.
