*laugh* yes, you do ;-)

Use Dad's Logitech in the balcony. Better lighting too.

The Logitech sucks even worse than my Quickcam. It has all these staticky lines over the picture.

Try a higher resolution -- it works great in the day for mine. It's only at night that it gets fuzzy.

I need a better one, too. Feh.

Maybe you were back lit. *grins* It looks like you're about to rat on the mafia. *giggles*

Rat on the Mafia

Razzle Frazzle! I hit post comment too soon.

As I was saying . . . it looks like you're about to rat on the mafia on national television, and they want to make sure no one recognizes you. For some reason they never disguise the voice though. I'm not sure why.

Go get a digital camera. Or get Joy to take one for you.

You need to adjust the lighting more than anything. That's the biggest problem I have when I use my webcam.

Just tell folks it's a "concept" photo -- inner radiance and all that.

Better and brighter lighting, you need to overcome the green cast that monitor glow gives to all photos.

Since it's just a small headshot you're looking for, why not just crop one of the existing larger pictures of yourself that are already in electronic form? For example, the picture from your page "ego7.html", or even one of the frames from "Rotate the Wizard", are already better than the current webcam shot.

That's not really the point. Some people wanted a recent headshot. And I do want to set up my KhaOSCam again one of these days.

Hey, I like that photo! Gentle yet full of a quiet strength of character. Note the adorably tousled hair and dreamy yet purposeful expression, the beguiling shine on his cheekbones, the artfully arranged t-shirt wrinkles, the tabula rasa background. Yes, I have way too much time on my hands. - Debbie
