Thanks for the reminder ~ it's just past two a.m. on a Colorado full moon night, clear as can be, but tomorrow (your today) it is supposed to rain. Hope it clears by moonrise time, so I can enjoy it on your behalf as well as on mine.
I have been guilty of referring to Your Wrothful Self as the 'Singapore Slinger' ~ no disrespect intended, as you do indeed sling an effective series of social comments.
I've been watching C-Span 2, the Senate debates on the Tax Cut bill and all the amendments being offered to either whittle down or shift the emphasis of allowable deductions to garner passage votes. So far it has been both intriguing and boooooring, but both sides of the aisle are working long and hard ~ do like to see my tax dollars being put to good use!
For senior cits with nearly a million in investments, the currently proposed dividend tax cutback would provide $24 thou in spendable income; for the vast majority of seniors with only $50,000 or so invested, the cutback would produce $97 income. And for those without such nest eggs, a big fat (American) ZERO, assuredly a gracious token of our value to the youthful Prez and his Administration. (At least he has not publicly suggested mass euthanasia to lessen the drain on Social Security and Medicare funds!)
