The Last Starfighter: A New Musical.

One of my favorite movies of all time, and one I always tear up at the ending to. For a geeky, awkward, overweight kid growing up in the 1980s playing video games, this was the ultimate wish fulfilment fantasy.

oooh! I love that movie.

We had free movie cable for like a week, and when it came on, I made my son (he's 8) watch it.

He loved it too, although he kept referring to it as "that corny movie."

Ah well... Next I'll be subjecting him to "dragonslayer."
