khaosworks: (Superman)

High concept

I have an idea for a television series called Extraordinary. College-age girl wakes up one day to find out she has superpowers. It'll be Felicity meets Supergirl with a dash of Superman: Secret Identity thrown in.

Pay me. Or write fanfic. Whichever.

I got another one! College student, male or female, wakes up one day and after brushing teeth and showering, then putting on clean clothing, makes sure they have all of their supplies and books, completed assignments, leaves their room with plenty of margin to arrive to class on-time and prepared.

Now . . . what's a good word for something about 500,000 more fantastic than "Extraordinary?"

*Sad and Exhausted Grin*

I like your notion (already sounds a LOT better than the ex-girlfriend is a superhero summer film coming up), but think it needs something to differentiate it a bit from some of the other things on the market. Not a quirk, necessarily . . . just something . . . What do you think?

Isn't that close to how Alias was started?

Is it?

(never watched Alias)

Alias and JJ Abrahms

I've never seen Felicity but I understand that JJ Abrahms who did Alias and now does Lost used to work on Felicity.

One day he said wouldn't it be cool if Felicity was really a secret Agent and got to jet off around the world on missions. Thus was born Alias.

Alias is worth watch if you think Jennifer Garner is cute and probably isn't if you don't.

Nah, because it'd actually be funny.
