Vista bugs... uh, features in gaming
I've been saying that the only reason I can see to even consider buying Microsoft Vista to run on my Intel Mac Pro is because of DirectX 10, i.e. for games. However, the games that are DirectX 10 capable don't really seem to be gaining forward movement in terms of release. Now it turns out, as in this Computerworld article, that despite claims of backward compatibility, some popular current games written for XP are slow and buggy on Vista. Flaky drivers, corrupt graphics, stuff like that.

DirectX 10 is so advanced that even Vista’s advanced desktop interface, dubbed "Aero," relies on the previous-generation DirectX 9 technology.I couldn't sniggering for five minutes.
