Showing up in the darndest places

Just found out that one of my Flickr photos — this one of Battle Bridge Road — was used in an article about affordable housing in the Harvard International Review.

Although the license doesn't really allow it (although it's public, I have it all rights reserved, not Creative Commons) I have no issues about it being used. Well, technically they really should link back to Flickr, too, actually.

But it's amusing to be able to say that something I've done has been published in the HIR.

The Harvard International Peview?

Yes, that is kind of amusing. Or did you mean HIR?

You should write to them. The person who submitted the article may have presented the photo as their own work. If they've done that with your work, how many other photos have they been ripping off without credit?

"khaosworks" gets the photo credit in the article.

As a Harvard employee, I'm annoyed with them for doing that. Unless "khaosworks" is your preferred nom de photographie, they didn't really give you proper credit.

Heh. OK, then. At least they credited...the screen name. (They tried. Sort of. Partial credit awarded.)

I've rewritten history so all evidence of the typo is erased! Bwah ha ha!
