Good, bad, I'm the one with the show stopping musical number

I can't decide if the very concept of Evil Dead: The Musical is the pinnacle of awesome or the nadir of sucktitude. I mean, did no one learn the lessons of Carrie? Oh, the humanity...

The only thing that can guarantee awesomeness would be if Bruce Campbell were actually in it.

It is actually pretty awesome. I saw it a couple years ago.

Can he sing?

Or is that an irrelevant question?

Campbell doesn't need to sing. He just needs to be, baby.

It was nice to see his cameo in Spiderman 3. However, I think that franchise missed a golden opportunity when they didn't sign him up to play J. Jonah Jameson.

Part of the problem really is that Bruce Campbell, for the most part, plays Bruce Campbell in his best movies (one of the few exceptions being the sublime Bubba Ho-Tep). I can't see him improving over JK Simmons' portrayal, and actually I don't think he'd even be as good.

I've have loved to see him as Curt Connors, though. Anticipating the moment he'd become the Lizard would have been great.

True, but see below.

I thought Simmons (in the depressingly little screen time he got this go-round) seemed a bit tired and not into it. Which is what generated the idea of what BC could do with such a nice excuse to chew scenery. It would have been a delicate balance, but I'd have liked to see the attempt.

Tariq watched it! He loved it.
