Re: 4 - I thought that it would be Bon Jovi - Livin' on a Prayer but I really wasn't sure - the loaded gun part was familiar but I dimly remember that it was "you're a loaded gun" not "she's a loaded gun"

I believe you might have been thinking of "You Give Love A Bad Name" instead, since the bridge for that starts, "Oh, you're a loaded gun..." but the song's first line is actually, "Shot to the heart and you're to blame", or "An angel's smile is what you sell."

"Living on a Prayer" starts, "Once upon a time, not so long ago / Tommy used to work on the docks..."

Heh. Texas used "It's like a whole other country" as a tourism slogan for a while.

Somewhere along the like, "South Texas: It's like a whole other third-world country" got tossed around, either in my circle of friends or somewhere online.
