Hey, I want a drink - alcoholic of course, after the heavy chapters involving quantum mechanics.

Happy Pi Approximation Day.

Or if you don't cotton with this American date format nonsense, wait for 22nd July for the other Pi Approximation Day.

3.14 / Pi = 0.9994930426171027086285900339793 ...
  Error = -0.0506957 %

(22/7) / Pi = 1.000402499434770681975840798341 ...
  Error = +0.0402499 %

I can't help feeling immensely proud that our Pi Approximation Day is so much more accurate than the American one. =:o>

But of course, the best estimate is to split the difference:

(3.14 + (22/7) ) / (2 * Pi) = 0.9999477710259366953022154161604 ...
  Error = -0.0052229 %

(Hear the chanting in the streets: "Unity Is Strength! Or At Least, Greatly Improved Accuracy!")

And this means, of course, that the *best* Pi approximation day to celibrate is:

( March 14th + 22nd July ) / 2 = 18th May

We can call it TUPA Day! (Transatlantic Unified Pi Approximation)
