3 Things

Beeeehhhh.

Rules: Post 3 things you've done that you believe nobody else on your F-list has done.
Indulge in remorse if someone calls you out on a listed item.

1. Watched a man I helped convict be hanged.
2. Thrown up in the (then) tallest hotel in the world.
3. Had a filk song I wrote mentioned in USA Today.

OK, you really need to work the first one into a song ala "I shot a man in Reno just to watch him die" : -)

So how long did it take for the vomit to reach the ground all down there?! :oD

Not terribly long, since I was partially in a lift with the doors open at a lift lobby at the time...

This is probably one of the most interesting memes I've seen. Thank you.

Where was the man hanged? Convicted of what? I'm curious as to some of the thoughts going through your head.

Why were you throwing up? What hotel?

What filk, and are the lyrics available online? Why was it mentioned in USA Today?

1. See the first answer here. As for the thoughts running through my head, well, they weren't pleasant.

2. I was drunk, it was my Senior Prom, and it was at the then-Westin Stamford, 7 December 1988.

3. "What's The Big Deal About Harry Potter?", mentioned in this 2003 article.

Well, I can think of one or maybe two . . . I was in Istanbul, formerly Constantinople,in November 1978, trying to pick up some money my parents had wired to me via the American consulate, and there was a sign on the door that said, "Closed for American Holiday." I turned to my friend and said, "Gary, guess what? We're in Turkey on Thanksgiving."

I recently bought a Puerto Rican Cuatro, and I'm learning to play it. I haven't seen any other filkers who play a Cuatro, or, for that matter, a Tiple, the instrument I'm playing in my LJ photo.

Can't think of a third one right now, so I guess I fail. Darn. Sorry.
