Advert: Forceknights LJ RPG

A friend is running a Star Wars LJ-based RPG, so in case anyone out there's interested....

[livejournal.com profile] forceknights is a somewhat AU LJ-based RPG set in the GFFA. The basic premise? Order 66 has been given. Many noble Knights have fallen, and those who survive now find themselves persona non grata in a galaxy that has gone mad overnight. The remnant of the once-mighty Jedi Order now find themselves a scattered, disorganized people, dispersed across a galaxy in which it is dangerous to be known for a Jedi.

The survivors try to find meaning in the chaos while attempting to discover what has become of their comrades and friends. For some Jedi, their search is more than just about learning who has survived - it's forced them to rethink everything they've taken for granted over their career - especially what it means to be a Jedi.... Over and above coping with the sudden devastation, a world gone completely insane, and the search for fellow survivors, the dispersed Jedi also face the ever-present threat of the Imperial forces.

These are dark days indeed, but the noble Knights of the Force know that somehow, they must find a way to bring light to each other - if they are to survive.

So far, there are about fourteen characters in the RPG, and we're definitely looking for more players. In particular, muns are needed for the following characters -

Quinlan Vos
Khaleen Hentz
Bultar Swan
Shadday Potkin
Barriss Offee
Tholme
T'ra Saa
Ki-Adi-Mundi
Bant Eerin
Random Younglings/ Padawans

We are also looking for a potential replacement for Master Yoda (absentee mun...).

You may view a list of the 'known Jedi dead' in the comm journal itself. If a character you'd like to play is does not appear in either the 'wanted' or 'dead' lists, please feel free to contact the mod and let her know - we're happy to accept any canon character, as long as they aren't dead. No OCs, unfortunately!

If you'd like to view what's been played so far (the game started Sep 25, 2008), check out this page.

Interested? Drop [livejournal.com profile] agaricus a message, stating who you'd like to play!

Could we have that in English for those of us who don't already play?

GFFA?

mun?

OC?

GFFA - Galaxy Far, Far Away (this is a Star Wars fan term)

OC - Original Character (I assume)

I have no idea what "mun" means.

Heh. I saw "GFFA" and though "clearly, I am not enough of a Star Wars fan to play in this game". I interpreted it as a time period (The Galactic Free For All?) in between the Clone Wars and "totality" of Imperial Domination.

"Mun" is probably short for "mundane", i.e. non-character or player.

I'm forty so I remember the original trilogy from when it first came out as such I loathed the new trilogy with increasing fervour after each release. I might have been interested if this was set in the Knights of the old republic era or post RotJ.

I wish you all fun but definitely not my cup of tea.
