NEW SONG: Who Am I

Imagine a slow and melancholy guitar arrangement of the Doctor Who theme.

MP3 here.

Who Am I
Lyrics © 2004 by Terence Chua
(based on the theme from "Doctor Who" by Ron Grainer)

Who am I
Here alone
Voyaging through the
Dark unknown

I have time
And space to roam
But there's no place
To call my home
    So on
    Always fighting the fight
    Knowing the loss
    That victory costs
    Then fade into the night
Many lives
Have I lived
How many more left
Can I give?
    Some
    Join my exile and leave
    They never know
    How much I don't know
    But still they all believe
I know them
Who and why
When they're born
When and how they'll die
    So on
    All alone and apart
    Solitude's touch
    Can hurt twice as much
    If breaking double hearts
I have changed
Many times
I'm no longer sure
Which face is mine

Who am I
Who am I
Who am I

i'm imagining a bossa nova-esque arrangement...

It's definitely dark, but his song is in 3/4 and bossanovas are 4/4.

Perhaps you were thinking more along the lines of having darkish overtones a la Joao and Astrid Gilberto ("The Girl From Ipanema")?

i made my comment before i heard the MP3 file, so in my head, i was rearranging the doctor who theme into a bossa nova-esque mix.

I like it a lot. Not sure what your sister means by bossa nova... I rather like the haunting way you have it now.
