Top of the 8th, Boston leading 2-1. This is more like it, although I am still wary.

Flipping through highlights from "Faithful", the Stephen King/Stewart O'Nan chronicle of the 2004 winning season to reassure myself.

ETA: Spent the last two minutes muttering at a computer screen, "Get 'im out, get 'im out, get 'im out." Game Two down.

To paraphrase Alan Shepard's prayer as he went up on Freedom 7 on May 5 1961... "Please, dear God, don't let [us] fuck up."
