Seriously, I got to give the Rockies props for staging an amazing comeback this season, and congratulations for their first ever post-season series win. Frankly, if they weren't facing my beloved Red Sox, I'd be right in their corner cheering for them.

But it's the Red Sox. So bring it on, bitches.

I couldn't find my authentic fitted New Era Red Sox cap (size 7 1/4). It fit really nicely, too.

It went MIA somewhere between the United States and Singapore. I still have my World Series 2004 cap, but the one I have in this accompanying icon, the one I wore throughout last years World Series, is gone.

And Amazon.com doesn't ship it to Singapore, and the MLB.com site only ships overseas by FedEx, which means that I'll be paying US$43 shipping for a US$25 cap. Which is insane, even for a fan like myself.

Anyone know a place which does ship overseas and not for insane amounts?

Because I figure that, oh, we'll know by Spring once the dust from the lawyers have settled.

Hey, the Red Sox can win, but you can't take the fatalism out of the Nation.

In other news, Amendment 1 to the Georgia State Constitution banning gay marriage and civil unions passed. By a 3-to-1 margin. I am not necessarily surprised, although I am appalled.

I might lose my voice tomorrow, my throat is so sore. I was crying and screaming so hard I missed most of the immediate post-game reaction from the team. Now the MLB.com store isn't acceping my checkout request for the cap and the T-shirt, and I expect that it's because ALL OF US ARE TRYING TO BUY THEM AS WELL.

I'm glad I managed to see this. I want to scream and run through the streets of Athens, GA, but it's all quiet outside and I'd probably get arrested. So I'll just scream inside my room with you guys.

So many things about this season... the 101st anniversary of the Series... the win over the Yankees from 3 games down... the highest scoring opening game in history... the night of the lunar eclipse... Eighty-sixing the curse...

If you wrote this as a movie, it would be too corny and nobody would believe it.

That was almost anticlimatic, but I nearly had a Red Foxx moment when that homer sailed into the stands at the bottom of the ninth for the Cards.

One more, baby. Just one more.

4 fucking errors, but we still beat 'em.

I swear, did someone lather the team down with butter or what? When I saw that 6-2 scoreline, I smelt disaster on the wind. I was saying, "Come on - get down to the bottom of the ninth already." And when Foulke - my man Foulke - came on, I felt the pressure ease a bit.

But I'm not going to hope too much yet. Remember, the last time we were 2 games up was 1986.

Oh, thank God it's over. I was chewed down to my second knuckle.
