A few things, prepping for my move to Georgia.

Atlanta area people, time to update me with your contact numbers and addresses so I can enter them in my computer address book ready to be contacted when panic settles in. E-mail them to the usual e-mail address. The Livejournal one works fine.

Now that [livejournal.com profile] jost is moving to Auburn, I'll need space to dump my worldly goods. I don't have a real estimate as to how much that will be, but imagine a smallish bedroom with about nine bookshelves full of books, CDs and DVDs and that should be about right. Preferably this should be a place that's closest, geographically to Athens so that transportation is not too much of a hassle later. Oh, and transportation for said goods would be nice as well.

I plan on arriving sometime in mid-July, so I'll need somewhere to crash as well, for about a month until the halls of residence open up mid-August or I find some other place in Athens before that. Am willing to contribute for food and free labor (cleaning and such) in payment if need be. Other kinds of favors can be negotiated depending on gender and attractiveness quotient. KhaOS. Cheap, but not as cheap as your girlfriend. But I digress.

Any offers to any of the above?

You're certainly welcome to stay here. We're going to be vacationing in Massachussetts from July 18-July 27, but you're certainly welcome to stay here, including while we're away if you like.

Don't know that we have enough room to store stuff, but I'm sure we can find a place for it. (hrm, actually, if you're staying here, the storage closet is largely empty since the bed that occupies most of it will be in the dining room. *G*)

Looking forward to having you as a neighbor!

Love,
-R

No promises, but I'll check with my in-laws who live in Athens. Tom's father is a retired English professor, who wasdepartment head at U of G.

I'll ask Tom's mother if she has any suggestions, the next time we talk with her (usually every Sunday or so.)

Good luck!

Andrea

I expect to have a good bit of space, though almost no furniture. As for near Athens, well... others may be nearer.
