Rumsfeld: Evidence links Iraq, al Qaeda

U.S. Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld told reporters Wednesday that U.S. intelligence has determined there is a link between Iraq and the al Qaeda terrorist network, but he refused to elaborate.

Rumsfeld said U.S. officials shared information linking Iraq and al Qaeda -- the terrorist network behind the September 11, 2001, attacks on New York and Washington -- with NATO defense ministers meeting in Poland.

"The deputy director of central intelligence briefed on that subject. I have no desire to go beyond saying the answer is yes," Rumsfeld told reporters. He was responding to a question about whether there was evidence linking Iraq to al Qaeda.

Exsqueeze me?

They have compelling evidence but no desire to present it? Why the fuck not? Wouldn't it blast those international resolutions they've been asking for through the various bodies like a bowl of Colon Blow?

There are Qaeda in Northern Iraq but they're not telling us if they're associated with Saddam Hussein or not? Does this mean that if there are Qaeda in the United States the US becomes a terrorist state?

"Everyone is on notice," Rumsfeld says. "All now have a clear understanding of the threats that are posed." Not on your life, asshole, because you're telling us bupkis except to trust you. And when I start using Yiddish, you know I'm pissed off.
