So, what did you lot think about "Scream of the Shalka" Episode one?
Starts slow, especially the first three parts, but gets much better in part four, when the Doctor stops pissing about being annoyed and decides that enough's enough. Can't tell much about Richard E. Grant's Doctor so far - he sounds like a grumpy version of McGann's Doctor but with the occasional flash of compassion. Obviously the Time Lords, or whoever, have been chucking him into harm's way expecting him to solve things and he's none too happy about it. Still, some of the heroic fire manages to show through, and I'm curious to see more. The animation's not as slick as I'd like it, but the folks at Cosgrove Hall (they who did the Pratchett animated adaptations) have done a decent job given the limitations of net bandwidth.
Next episode, please!
P.S. Anyone in England kind enough to buy me a copy of the latest Doctor Who Magazine with the CD "Living Legend" attached and mail it to me?
