Felt like crud since this morning. Raspy throat, stuffed nose more than usual. Came home, popped a Nyquil, went comatose for six hours... now feeling muscle aches, eyes are red, throat still the same. Not sure what happened, since yesterday I was feeling fine.
( Politics follows. Cut for the sensitive )
So... all this going on. Too sick to comment. Just gonna keep watching it all and wondering where it'll end.

Ours is now an anger-based economy
Nov. 8th, 2004 11:27 pmI've been trying to reconstruct this ever since November 2, when Stephen Colbert made this comment at the close of the Daily Show's coverage on the election. Although satirical, there's a core of truth in this we should pay attention to.
"For years our country has been torn apart by politics that exploit our differences rather than celebrate our common values. But tomorrow morning, regardless of who wins this election, we'll be faced with an opportunity to come together as a nation. This is an opportunity... we must reject.
"Look at the facts. After decades of apathy, this election, filled with partisan rancor, marks the highest voter turnout since 1968 when our country was also bitterly divided. The biggest mistake we made back then: quelling those street riots. They were just America's way of letting democracy know it cared. So to those who call to a return to civilized discourse, I say, 'Shut your ugly cake-hole, fatty!'
"And think of what we would lose. Our identities have become wholly dependent upon rejecting each other, for who am I if not 'not you'... fatty? It's too late to turn back! Ours is now an anger-based economy! I see a glorious tomorrow where hybrid vehicles run half on gasoline and half on seething hate. I call it 'rage-ohol'. Join me in the future, for the future belongs to the furious.
"Remember - a house divided against itself is what we here in New York call... a duplex."
