All but the grading
Dec. 15th, 2004 05:14 pmThesis proposal defense went well. It wasn't really a defend kind of thing - I just talked about where I was going, what problems I anticipated or had encountered, and my committee suggested ways to take the argument, things to look at or think about and I nodded and took notes. It was a nice, friendly atmosphere, about 45 minutes of chit-chat, basically. In the end, Dr Hoffer wrote "passed" across a hard copy of the proposal and I handed it in to Dr Winship, the History Department's Graduate Coordinator.
So, stuff to mull over during the break, but before that... 43 papers to grade by Friday.
