How to Introduce Neil Gailman
Nov. 1st, 2009 11:17 amI "moderated" Amanda Palmer and Neil Gaiman for the "Who Killed Amanda Palmer?" panel at the Singapore Writers Festival on Halloween. When I say moderated I mean it in the loosest sense, really. I gave an introduction, let them talk about the origins of the book, read excerpts from it and then pointed at people who had their hands up.
That being said (and

"Hello everyone and welcome to the Singapore Writers Festival.
It's my absolute pleasure to introduce to you two people, one of whom has been my particular idol since childbirth. A person of incredible creative power, drive and accomplishment, and whom, let's face it, everyone in this room would be willing to drop their panties for.
I am, of course, speaking of Amanda Palmer. The other person is... some guy she's dating.
Not that he's unaccomplished himself. He's probably best known as the Yoko Ono of the Dresden Dolls, and secondly as the writer of "I Google You", which is the creepiest stalker song since "Every Breath You Take".
But enough about Terry Pratchett.
Ladies and gentlemen, this evening we show you a mystery. We shall not all sleep, but shall all be changed. This evening, we examine the question: Who Killed Amanda Palmer."
