khaosworks | Family feud

Had an interesting dream, though. It had several segments in it, and it wasn't in my recurring dream world as far as I can tell, but this one stood out. It's not a particularly original idea, but it's intriguing enough.

In this particular world all the super-powered beings, heroes, villains, everyone in between, are all part of the same extended family. Kind of like Wold Newton except with real super-powers rather than just being enhanced humans. So Doctor Demoniac is really Fifth Cousin Howard twice removed or something like that and Hyperman, while trying to put him down, is really trying not to hurt him too much because Aunt Mira will get really pissed off.

In the dream all of them were gathered at the hospital because the oldest matriarch of the clan was dying, and they were paying their respects. Immunity was granted to even the super-villains of the clan. It was just the idea of having super-heroes and super-villains who normally beat the crap out of each other just sitting down and exchanging small talk at a family reunion that tickled me.
