If you see a little lock attached to the entry, don't assume that everyone or anyone else on my friends list has seen that entry. Yes, I practice friends groups, and that means I'd much rather you keep it to yourself just in case it goes out to people (friends or no) whom I do not wish to tell for whatever reason. Don't feel put out - it's just a matter of personal judgment on my part.
