On a brighter note, Senegal - in their World Cup final debut - have beaten France 1-0 in the opening match of the 2002 World Cup. Nice to see the Frogs taken down a peg, even if three of their team play for Arsenal.

I woke up early to watch this match. It was wonderful to see somebody show those smelly, cheese-eating surrender monkeys a thing or two. Now that it's in gear, we'll get to see Nigeria take the Cup!
