For some reason, this has been going through my head tonight...

Pilot: Striker was the squadron leader. He brought us in real low. But he couldn't handle it.

Prosecutor: Buddy couldn't handle it? Was Buddy one of your crew?

Pilot: Right. Buddy was the bombardier. But it was Striker who couldn't handle it, and he went to pieces.

Prosecutor: Andy went to pieces?

Pilot: No. Andy was the navigator. He was all right. Buddy went to pieces. It was awful how he came unglued.

Prosecutor: Howie came unglued?

Pilot: Oh, no. Howie was a rock, the best tailgunner in the outfit. Buddy came unglued.

Prosecutor: And he bailed out?

Pilot: No. Andy hung tough. Buddy bailed out. How he survived, it was a miracle.

Prosecutor: Then Howie survived?

Pilot: No, 'fraid not. We lost Howie the next day.

Prosecutor: Over Macho Grande?

Pilot: No... I don't think I'll ever get over Macho Grande.

I have no idea what you're talking about.

Also I think I may have just got gypped but I'm not sure...I'll have to make a phonecall or two.

Plus I'm hungry but I have no appetite.

My life has subtly shifted from the genre of "drama" to "nature documentary" and not a very exciting one either.

You need to rent a movie ...

... in this case, Airplane.

Just rewatched the last ten minutes of "The Big Bus", now *there* was a film to make you come unglued!

As long as you're renting Airplane, pick up Top Secret too. It was also by Zucker/Abrahams/Zucker, and came out before Airplane and the Naked Gun series, but is usually overlooked and underappreciated, for some reason. Unfairly so, IMO. Perhaps this is because it mainly spoofs two genres of movie that were no longer very popular at the time of its release: Elvis musicals and spy dramas. But it's still definitely worth watching, if you like spoof films. The scene in the Swedish bookstore is classic. Other memorable scenes are the ballet performance, the cow costume, and the boots in the field moment.

As long as you're getting Top Secret, pick up UHF too, another usually overlooked and underappreciated movie....

I /love/ that part of the movie. I especially love the way he says, "Howie was a rock."

For a moment there, I thought it was the radio chatter from inside the Enola Gay. For a very very brief moment.

Maybe you should see Airplane. And Airplane 2. They were great late 70s/early 80s movies and still some of the best American comedies written for the big screen.
