Just out of curiosity - how many of you are out there who read my journal and aren't on my friends list or listing me as a friend?

That would include me. No rejection implied; I just don't use a friends list. The ongoing job hunt keeps me too busy to read much online (consider yourself special), let alone reply -- hunting for a job turns out to be a lot more work than having one.

Re 9/11, I recommend John M. Ford's compelling poem "110 Stories", readable at: http://nielsenhayden.com/110.html

Hi yourself! Thanks for the offer of a code, but I really don't have a use for it right now -- see my post to Terence.

See you at Darkover?

FWIW, my current addy is: malachite@speakeasy.net

I figured it might be convenient to have a user name (and optionally picture) even if you never post entries in your own journal. That way if people have friends-only posts they can add you to their friends lists and you can see those posts. I have a permanent account, so codes are not a problem.

Yes, I'll be at Darkover. Thanks for the email address. Good luck in the job hunt!

I probably count. I don't read you regularly, but I've popped in a little.

I drop by every few days to see what's new, and as I don't have a Live Journal myself, I obviously don't fall in either of the above categories.

(Forced to post as Anonymous, as the Live Journal creator apparently can't grasp the concept that a non-LJ user doesn't necessarily want to automatically be Anonymous and might want their name to appear in a header.)

Me; I don't have any good reason not to have you on it, but I read it the same.
