Safari, so goody
Feb. 26th, 2003 09:36 amI managed to download the leaked beta of Safari with tabbed browsing. Works like a charm, except for one feature that Chimera has which I like - the ability to automatically open requested windows as a tab instead of in a separate browser window.
The other Safari inadequacies still bug me. No forms management, although that's apparently coming. Lack of compatibility with DBS Internet Banking, and also some cookie problem that's making it impossible to log into the archives of pay web comics sites like Modern Tales and serializer.net.

Date: 2003-02-26 10:12 pm (UTC)Lack of DBS compatibility really sucks. I also have problems with pages not refreshing despite multiple attempts (e.g. MacCentral - I have to open another browser, refresh there, then somehow I get the new version in Safari...makes no sense, since the browsers shouldn't be sharing caches, AFAIK), and certain pages downloading the html file instead of opening it in the browser (ESPN sites like ESPN.com and Soccernet.com).
You?
