I've been reading bits and pieces of USENET and Comicboards.com on reactions to the movie and I love the way the movie is bringing new people into the comic - I just can't help smiling when I see a message from someone earnestly asking who the "guy who can turn into metal" is and whether he'll play a bigger role in the next movie.

You want to know what will make me squeal with delight in X3 if it happens? Two words. "Fastball Special".

Ooh, I didn't even think of that....

Me, I've been pulling for a Kitty-Nightcrawler romance for just about ever - if they won't write it into the comics, I'm praying they'll let it happen in the movie. I know they won't, but.... I've got to hope. :)

What I would really, really like to see is the frank miller wolverine mini-series turned into a movie. wolverine facing off against legions of ninjas - that would be tres cool.

oh baby.

it is a good thing hearing kids ask those questions. but it also makes me feel very, very old. why is it that sf/fantasy and comic books had to become cool after i'd already grown out fo them?

oooooooh.

keen.

personally, all I hope for is them to keep Wolvie Canadian. I mean, he was created as a superagent by the canadian government and all (part of our efficient medical system, no doubt). There's an old X-Men/Alpha Flight (before they had their own comic) in which AF has to hunt down a 'rogue agent' (Wolverine), and Pierre Trudeau is portrayed as being EVIL, along with the rest of the Canadian gov't. And considering the US attitude towards us now, I think the plotline would be accepted...
