X2 fanboy amusements
May. 5th, 2003 10:48 amI've been reading bits and pieces of USENET and Comicboards.com on reactions to the movie and I love the way the movie is bringing new people into the comic - I just can't help smiling when I see a message from someone earnestly asking who the "guy who can turn into metal" is and whether he'll play a bigger role in the next movie.
You want to know what will make me squeal with delight in X3 if it happens? Two words. "Fastball Special".

Me, I've been pulling for a Kitty-Nightcrawler romance for just about ever - if they won't write it into the comics, I'm praying they'll let it happen in the movie. I know they won't, but.... I've got to hope. :)

Date: 2003-05-04 11:18 pm (UTC)it is a good thing hearing kids ask those questions. but it also makes me feel very, very old. why is it that sf/fantasy and comic books had to become cool after i'd already grown out fo them?

personally, all I hope for is them to keep Wolvie Canadian. I mean, he was created as a superagent by the canadian government and all (part of our efficient medical system, no doubt). There's an old X-Men/Alpha Flight (before they had their own comic) in which AF has to hunt down a 'rogue agent' (Wolverine), and Pierre Trudeau is portrayed as being EVIL, along with the rest of the Canadian gov't. And considering the US attitude towards us now, I think the plotline would be accepted...
