Got a call from AppleCentre. After e-mails back and forth with Apple, they've found out that they can't cover the warranty directly, so I have to send Cassie back to the shop from which I got it and let them sort it out with Apple. Fucking bureaucracy. The Apple tech guy will write a report so they know what's wrong with her, though.

Will be bringing Cassie over there tonight. I don't know how long they'll take to repair her. Damn it.

Part of the reason why I haven't been updating on the news ranting front is that I find it much easier to do on Cassandra than on Mike, for some reason. Probably I'm way too used to OS X to go back to OS 9 to any real degree now.

I know what you mean about OS X. When I first started using the Public Beta a couple of years ago, I couldn't imagine getting used to it. But now when I sit down infront of OS 9 (which is rare), I feel lost.

Bummer about losing Cassie, even for repair time ~ Maybe it's the Secret Luddites' fault, to remind us that fingers and toes were invented long before computers, that brains seize up if not cleaned and exercised regularly, and that the world keeps turning with or without our assistance.
You do great rants! How about the current FCC flap? Think it'll catch on around the Cyberverse?
