1. What are the things that you WON'T miss about Singapore?
The feeling that someone's always looking over your shoulder - whether it's my parents or my boss or the government. I know that's not necessarily going to end when I'm in the US, but from my experiences so far, it's going to be feel less oppressive. I also won't miss the bloody humid weather, and the cultural desert.
2. What are you most looking forward to about being in the US?
Being closer to the people and the things that make my life worth living - my music, fandom, my siblings, my extended adopted family of friends and loved ones that stretch across that continent. And being able to cut loose without worrying about judicial decorum for once.
3. An Esquire style question - what are the most important five things you've learnt in life far? (okay, that's kind of unfair cause its technically five questions but still ...)
1. All information is useful.
2. You can't change people - you can only change yourself. The same goes for them.
3. Assholes are assholes, no matter what they look like.
4. If you have to ask if it's right to do a certain thing, the answer is probably no.
5. Faith manages.
4. What would you have done differently, if you had the chance to go back in time and change it.
Not a thing. As I said in another interview, we are the sum total of everything that has happened to us to bring us to this point in space-time. I don't regret where I am.
Okay, maybe I shouldn't have puked all over the Westin Stamford lift lobby during my senior prom. Nah, that still makes for a great story.
5. Which celebrity represents your current "ideal" woman (a composite is fine.)
Linda Park, who plays Hoshi Sato on "Enterprise". I don't know if she has the same traits as her character, but if she did, I wouldn't be able to stand it.
