Got a couple of e-mails over the last couple of days of note.
The first from Jaroslav Olsa Jr., a Czech SF fan who once visited Singapore years ago and got taken out to dinner by the now defunct Science Fiction Association of Singapore. He was working with the Czech Foreign Ministry at that point in Prague, and whaddya know - he's now the Czech Ambassador to Zimbabwe! Anyway, that aside, Jaroslav's still active in Czech fandom as an editor and he lets me know he's putting together a collection of Asian SF for a Bulgarian fan publication, and he wants permission to use one of my stories. So look for either "The Triumphant Return of Buck Savage!" or "Birthgrave" to be translated into Bulgarian sometime soon.
The other e-mail was from the webmaster of the official 2000AD website. For those not in the know, 2000AD is the UK's premiere SF comics magazine, in whose pages Judge Dredd first appeared, where virtually every British comic book writer of note got their start, and where Alan Moore's brilliant "The Ballad of Halo Jones" appeared, which inspired of course, my own song "Halo Jones". It's going to show up as a link to my site on their music downloads page.
Wonder if I should tell them that "Halo Jones" is coming out on the CD...
