Got my first paper back, a 5-pager on Max Weber and Marx I did for my Theory and Practice class. My professor's notes on it encouraged me to be more adventurous and follow the fundamental arguments to new areas of inquiry and new questions, but I got an "A" on it.
You know what they say, though - in grad school, if you get a "B" you're not working hard enough and if you get a "C" you shouldn't be in grad school.
But I'm pleased anyway.
