Some people have been asking me where Kerry stands on issues aside from being anti-Bush.

Well, he seems a decent sort, and I would like to believe that he has a decent shot at it.

I caught a telecast of one of his town-hall meeting things when I was in SF last July, and was impressed with the way he handled the crowd. E.g., there was this well dressed guy who asked him many serious employment-related questions, and JFK went over to him, put a hand on his shoulder and asked him, "How long have you been out of work?" And then he turned his answer into a folksy dialogue with the guy - perhaps it's par for the course in the stage-managed arena of US politics (and the guy may have been a plant!), but, the naif that I am, I thought it was nicely done. J
