Is it just my TV or is John Stewart's outfit a little... blue? GA's looked green, the power ring looked green, John's eyes looked green, but the uniform itself? Blue-ish.

Very nice animation... and yes, the sight of all those heroes, including Stars and S.T.R.I.P.E.(!), made me squeal. That comic deserved much better.

Ollie rocks.

Also, anybody else getting flashbacks to LEGENDS? The bad guy was basically Brimstone, and the firing of those rods pretty much how Deadshot took out Brimstone as well.

All in all, not a bad episode, but too much on the action - not that I dislike action, but it felt a little imbalanced.

The last scene when Ollie spots you-know-who and stops dead in his tracks. Priceless. I would have, too.

As a side note about Teen Titans: "Betrayal" - Poor Gar. Poor, poor Gar.

Ollie was as far from gay as you could get.

I had heard that he was in the comics (or maybe just the recent ones) and was wondering about the TV show.

You were probably hearing about the rumors that Connor Hawke - his son, who also uses the code name Green Arrow - was gay. Connor's sexuality is kind of ambiguous. He was raised in a monastery, so he's not comfortable around women like his father, although he still has the Queen ability to attract them like flies to honey. Also, as far as we know, he's had sex only once - with a woman who turned out to be a ghost. So... up in the air.

Is "up in the air" a reference to his sexuality, or to what happens when a ghost's, um, never mind.

;->

I pretty much never watch TV since the baby turned up, but yesterday I really felt like watching cartoons and saw that same sequence. Poor Gar! And poor Terra! And I am also pretty curious about where the JLU goes from here.

No, you're not imagining the blue uniform on Green Lantern. I'm guessin' green didn't test well.

Have you ever noticed that white characters in comics have fairly consistent faces, taking into account each artist's idiosyncracies, but black characters always look like whichever black action star is hot that year? Pisses me off and I'm not even black.

sigh.

This is what happens when you don't read comic books, I guess.

The problem is, unless it's a short-run comic book like Rising Stars, I always feel like I'm reading the Two Towers knowing I will never be able to read Fellowship.

hee hee hee... he hit the brakes so hard he left skidmarks

I was, all in all, very pleased. I'm loving the "unlimited" aspect... I can't wait to see who shows up next. =)

I very much like the Unlimited aspect of it. I am looking forward to see who else they bring in on the missions, but it's a pity we'll never see the Teen Titans or Static.

I like how they did Ollie, but I'm very surprised he didn't recognize Batman as being non-powered.
