Comics company query

Has anyone of you out there heard of Icon Comics? Not the one that's a Marvel imprint right now, but a comic company that was active a few years ago - apparently they published comics with ethnic-based, inner city superheroes (not Milestone, although it may sound similar). They may or may not be still active. If anyone has an leads on contact information, let me know.

Sorry, Dwayne McDuffie wrote the "ICON" comic, which was from Milestone and distributed by DC - this is not the same thing as Icon Comics, which is what I'm looking for. Thanks, anyway.

The company/name is defunct, but one of the writers, Dwayne McDuffie, is a semi-regular on rec.arts.comics.misc. Use google groups to get his email address.

Note that they did all their distribution, etc, through DC, so writing DC would be a good bed.

You sure it was Icon Comics? Because Dwayne McDuffie wrote a comic titled ICON, which was under the Milestone imprint that was distributed through DC in the 90s. ICON is not the same Icon Comics, as far as I know.

Are you sure you're not talking about Milestone? Because so far I can't find anything else . . . and what you describe above is just what Milestone and Icon did . . .

I'll ask the friend who requires this information, but I'm pretty sure that it wasn't Milestone. Icon Comics was active as recent as 2 years ago, and Milestone hasn't been publishing comics for some time.
