Saw that Sid Meier's Pirates!, the remake of his incredibly cool 1980s-era game Pirates! has been released. Wal-Mart has it for about $49.99 retail. Can't afford it, of course - not that I have the time to even play it, given paper doom and City of Heroes. But people might want to check it out, especially those who played and enjoyed the original.

They've remade Pirates!?

(My first exposure to both Pirates! and Snow Crash came when the two were packaged together as a giveaway at Walmart, I think. That was probably the best $10 I've ever spent).

Sounds interesting, but don't feel bad... I can't afford it either... wanted to get Spiderman 2 at Walmart today, and they were all sold out... go figure... BTW, welcome back.
