If so, that's a new development, as I saw Eccleston's series and The Christmas Invasion on CBC, which Seattle Comcast is kind enough to carry.

I think it went into effect near the start of the year when SciFi started actually airing episodes, but thats just a rumor.

No idea, sadly. Remember that the reason CBC showed it as quickly as it did last year was because the hockey wasn't around. It may take longer this time.

That reminds me, have you caught any of the SciFi Channel airings? Have they changed much?

I haven't, because I'm not in the US anymore, and I've already seen all the originals (and have the DVDs). But I hear that there've been some cuts to accomodate ad space which some fans aren't happy at.

As autographedcat noted, they sometimes break in jarring places. Probably disguises some cuts. Still, I'm thankful that I'm finally seeing the new Who.
