The Easter eggs keep coming up fast and furious in this one.

If you hadn't figured it out by the time Alexis went from spoilt rich girl to outright villainy, her red hair falling out (albeit temporarily) at the climax of the episode ought to have tipped you off to what her last name was, even if you don't read Interlac (like some sad people like, um, myself can) to make out the name on her prison uniform.

Also, cameos from Lobo and the Justice League Watchtower from the animated series.

The bad? No Triplicate Girl. Come on, if you're not going to give me Dream Girl, give me more Luornu. Didn't every teenage boy want a girlfriend who could split into three people? Or maybe it was just me thinking what a lucky, lucky bastard Chuck "Bouncing Boy" Taine was...

On the non-spoilery side, I can only express slack-jawed amazement at how awesome the season premiere of Battlestar Galactica was, how much I enjoyed seeing the return of Veronica Mars, and how I'm looking forward to see where Heroes is going to go.

Also, this week's episode of South Park, "Make Love Not Warcraft" was particularly close to my geeky heart. I don't even mind the inconsistencies and inaccuracies in gameplay, it was so hilarious. They should do more of these things.

Shaping up to be an enjoyable new Fall TV season... at least for the shows I follow.

You seen Jericho?

Honestly I'm liking it more than Heroes and Studio 60.

I dunno about Jericho; I don't have time at the moment to figure out just how many science liberties they're taking (farmer boy out in fallout rain for 20 minutes without any signs of radiation poisoning, townspeople emerging after several hours of radioactive rain and not detecting any radiation, Mayor active and walking around mere hours after literally passing out due to flu) but there are a fair number of bits they'll need to address soon. Like why there hasn't been *any* traffic into Jericho since the bombs. Like where they plan to get non-contaminated water from (better be a lot of wells that got covered up pre-fallout shower). Like how they plan to eat given contaminated crops, soil, animals, and how that train has at most a week's supply of food. Did I mention gas and power? Did I mention why the heck anyone would let a bar continue operating in these conditions?

Frankly, unless they evacuate to a non-contaminated area and/or it was a lot fewer bombs than have been indicated, the show should only last a season or two before the population of Jericho is 0. Or, as someone else put it, Jericho Season 3: Lots Of Thyroid Cancer And Wearing Of Wigs.

Heroes has been irritating with one thing; there is no way you have a solar eclipse simultaneously visible in NYC and Vegas, let alone adding Japan to the mix. On the other hand, they've actually cast a fan in a cameo role; the policeman who translates for Hiro at the end of ep 2 is an active LA fan and even former Loscon chair.

And I still want to see Marvel fanboy Hiro think that to deal with superpowers he needs to get advice from Stan Lee and 'port into The Man's living room. Yep, a full-fledged Stan Lee guest appearance.

Chuck was a lucky guy even when Luornu was down to being "Single Girl"...

I still remember the Hembeck cartoon where Hembeck makes some leering remarks about their married life while interviewing Chuck.
