Don't take it as a "how little interest people take in your private life". Most people assume that if you're not posting much about your private life, then you probably don't want to talk about it much.

In general, over LJ, and to some extent in filk or in any hobby, all we know about the other person is what they choose to reveal, or what we go and hunt down. I use "in general" liberally there, of course. Someone who perhaps has never met you but is willing to spend some time re-examining every one of your historical LJ posts, your website, do a search on your email addresses and so on, could probably score fairly well. Don't take it as lack of interest in YOU if someone chooses to spend those hours doing something else :)

BTW, your filks kick butt. I've sung a few of them (because I've got none of my own and yours are great) and they have been very well received. I hope you can make it back here to Georgia sometime, people regularly mention it'd be nice to see and hear you again.
