Worldcon 2007

Trying to decide if I should go to Tokyo this year for Worldcon. Anyone else going (aside from bedlamhouse and ladyat)?

I WISH I was going, and my son may not forgive me for not going and taking him with me, but alas no. I will be starting grad school then, and being gone that long just isn't going to work.

I *hope* so ... I'm running for a fan fund (like TAFF or the Flying Filk Fund) called JETS to send a European fan to the worldcon, and I reckon I have a 50/50 chance (no, there are seven entrants, not two, why do you ask?!)

I just don't see it happening for me. So I've got an attending membership for sale too, if you happen to need three of them. $100 if I get to keep the voting rights.

Nope. Got a supporting membership in '04 (?) when I thought I might, but not now. If you know of anyone who would want the membership to convert to Attending, I'm open to transferring it.

Ah, you lucky dog! Right now, money makes this out of the question (I had chances for a lottery drawing, but someone else won the $370 million, darn it!), but oh, how I wish I could. Of course, if you've got a line on someone here in the States offering a nice, sedate job paying $70,000 or so that I could slip into, I might be able to change that . . . ;)
