Dec. 6th, 2007 05:46 pmJust learned to play this song, albeit much more simply than the original, on guitar. Luckily, it's one of those songs that sounds all right when played simply.

Nov. 29th, 2007 10:03 pmDedicated to... well, everyone. I first heard this during the Season 2 finalé of The 4400 and thought it was great. A question that a lot of people my age are asking themselves, I think.

Sep. 28th, 2007 02:38 pmHeard Tony Bennett and Stephen Colbert sing this on The Colbert Report the other night, so it's been running through my head... this is one of those songs that people should reserve for wedding CDs.

Sep. 14th, 2007 11:53 amIt's actually raining now, but I caught up on lots of sleep last night and Vienna Teng's amazingly sweet voice was going through my head...

See a music video here. I can pretty much guarantee you I will be playing this in a filk circle at some point; and I expect everyone to join in the chorus.

Your earworm for today
Aug. 28th, 2006 03:47 pmWhen you find yourself in danger
When you're threatened by a stranger
When it looks like you will take a lickin'
(puk puk puk puk)
There is someone waiting
Who will hurry up and rescue you
Just call... for Super Chicken!
(puk ack!)
Fred, if you're afraid you'll have to overlook it
Besides, you knew the job was dangerous when you took it
(puk ack!)
He will drink his Super Sauce
And throw the bad guys for a loss
And he will bring them in alive and kickin'
(puk puk puk puk)
There is one thing you should learn
When there is no one else to turn to
Call... for Super Chicken!
(puk puk puk puk)
Call... for Super Chicken!

When you're threatened by a stranger
When it looks like you will take a lickin'

Psych theme song
Jul. 24th, 2006 05:11 pmThe theme song for Psych: "I Know, You Know", is written by Steven Franks, the creator of the series, and performed by his band, The Friendly Indians. It's pretty catchy, but not available for download yet (unless you cound any audio captures of the version sung during end credits). For those who are trying to figure out the lyrics, here they are, as near as I can make sense of them.
( Your worst inhibitions tend to psych you out in the end. )

Jul. 16th, 2006 06:47 pmNot so much a Doctor/Rose song as a Doctor/Companions song. Or hell, just a damned good love song. Someone should make the music video.
( When the night falls on you, you don't know what to do - nothing you confess could make me love you less... )
